2! I give-thanks to God
1! through Jesus Christ our Master.
Therefore -
1 Now, I myself with the mind surely serve-in-bondage to God's Law,
2 but with the flesh to a law of sin.
Therefore -
1 Now, not-even-one judgement-against those in Christ Jesus,
2 not to those-walking-about according to flesh,
1 but-instead according-to spirit.
1 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus
2 liberated me away-from the law of sin and of death.
3 For the powerless [nature] of the Law,
4 in that it-was-without-strength through the flesh,
5 God,
6 having sent His-own Son
7~ in likeness of a flesh of sin
8 and concerning sin,
9 > judged-against the sin in the flesh,
8 in order that the just-judgement of the Law
7 might-be-made-replete in us,
6 in those not walking-about according to the flesh,
5 but-instead according-to Spirit.
4 For those being according-to flesh think-about that of the flesh;
3 but those according-to spirit that of the Spirit.
2 For the thought of the flesh [is] death.
1 But the thought from the Spirit [is] life and peace.
2 Because-this: the thought of the flesh [is] hostility toward God;
3 For it is not subordinated to the Law of God;
4 for it is not-even empowered.
5 But those being in flesh
4 toward God are not empowered to-please.
5 But you are not in flesh, but-instead in Spirit,
6a if in-case God's Spirit dwells in you.
5 But if someone does not have Spirit of Christ,
4 that one is not of Him.
3 But if Christ [is] in you,
2 indeed the body is dead on account of sin,
1 but the Spirit [is] life on account of righteousness.
2 But if the Spirit
3 of the One-having-awakened
4 Jesus
5 out from dead [ones]
6b dwells in you,
3 the One-having-awakened
4 the Christ
5 out from dead [ones]
6 will make-alive also
7~ your mortal bodies
6c by-means-of the indwelling of His Spirit in you.
Therefore -
1 Now, brothers, we are not debtors to the flesh
2 of [this:] to live according-to flesh.
3 For if according-to flesh you [all] live
2 you are about to-die-away.
1 But if by Spirit
2 the practices of the body you-put-to-death
3 you will live.
1 For as-many from God's Spirit are led,
2 these are sons of God.
3 For you did not receive a spirit of bond-service again for fear;
2 but instead you received Spirit of adoption {son-placement}
1 by Whom we cry-out, 'Abba! Father!'
1 The Spirit Himself witnesses-together with our spirit that we are children of God.
2 But if children also heirs, indeed heirs of God but joint-heirs of Christ,
3 if perhaps we suffer-together
4 in order that also we might be recognized-together.
3 for I take-account that not comparable the hardship-suffered of the present time
2 towards the impending recognition to be revealed for us.
1 For the earnest-expectation of the creature
2 waits-away the revelation of the sons of God.
3 For the creature was subordinated to futility,
4 not a voluntary [thing],
5a > but instead on-account-of the one having-subordinated [it]
b upon a confident-expectation;
4 in order that also itself the creature will be liberated
3 away from the bond-service of decay
2 into the liberty of the recognition of God's children.
1 For we continue-to-know that every creature groans-together
2 and travails-together until [then] from that presently.
1 Not only, but additionally also ourselves having the first-fruit of the Spirit,
2 even we-ourselves among ourselves groan waiting-away adoption,
3 the ransom-away of our body.
4 For with that hope we were saved.
5a > But a hope having been seen
b is not a hope.
4 For what sees someone why also he hopes?
3 But if what not we see we hope
2 by-means of-endurance we-wait-away.
1 But likewise also the Spirit jointly-assists in our weaknesses.
2 For that which we might pray for according as is necessary we do not know.
1a Moreover, Himself the Spirit intercedes concerning us
2 with groanings inexpressible.
3 But the one-searching the hearts
2 knows what [is] the thought of the Spirit
1b because according-to God He intercedes concerning holy [ones].
2 But we continue-to-know that to those loving God
3 all [things] work-together for good,
4 to those according-to a prior-plan
5 are called-ones {named-ones}.
6 Because whom He knew-before also He marked-out-before
7 [as] conformed-ones of image of His Son;
8 > for this: Him to be First-born
7 among many brothers.
6 But whom He knew-before these also He called {named},
5 and whom He called
4 these also He justified,
3 but whom He justified these also He recognized.
2 What then will we declare toward these [things]?
1 If God [is] concerned-over us all who [is] against us?
2 Indeed, Who of His own Son not spared,
3 but instead concerning us gave-over Him,
2 how not also with Him the all [things] to us will bestow-gratuitously?
1 Who will call-in against God's spoken-out [ones]?
2 God [is] the one-justifying.
1 Who [is] the one-judging-against Christ,
2 One-having-died-away;
3 but greater-so one-having-been-awakened,
2 Who also is at God's right [side],
1c Who also intercedes concerning us?
2 What will-separate us away-from the love of Christ -
3 pressure {tribulation},
4 or a narrow-space,
5 or pursuit,
6 or scarcity,
7~ or nakedness,
8 or danger,
9 or a dagger?
10 Just as it is written that,
9 'For Your sake we are-put-to-death the entire day.'
10 'We were accounted as sheep of slaughter.'
11 > But among those all we-conquer-over through the one-having-loved us.
10 For I remain-persuaded that
9 neither death
8 nor life,
7 neither messengers nor beginnings nor powers,
6 neither [what] remains-standing
5 nor is-impending,
4 neither elevation nor depth
3 nor a certain different creature
2! will have-ability to-separate us away-from the love of God,
1! in Christ Jesus our Master.
