What Happens When Someone Is Saved?

A beautiful and manifold transformation takes place in the life of believers when they are saved, when they believe God's testimony of His Son and confess Yahweh Jesus. The new believer experiences internal and external changes:

The Old Man The New Man in Christ
John 3:5-7 born of water and of flesh born from above and of the Spirit
Rom 5:21 sin reigned in death grace reigns ... into eternal life
Rom 7:6 bound by Law, serve in oldness of the letter released from the Law, serve in newness of the Spirit
Rom 8:9 does not have the Spirit of Christ the Spirit of God dwells in you; see 1Cor 6:19
1Cor 15:42-44 old body is sown perishable and natural, in dishonor and weakness new body will be raised imperishable and spiritual, in glory and power
2Cor 5:16-17 recognize no one according to the flesh, old things have passed away new creature in Christ, new things have come
Gal 4:7 a slave in bondage a son and heir of God; see Rom 6:22
Eph 2:5 dead in our transgressions alive together with Christ; see Rom 6:23
Eph 2:12-13 separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world, far off brought near to God by the blood of Christ; see Eph 2:14-18
Eph 2:19 strangers and aliens fellow citizens with the saints, of God's household
Eph 4:22-24 the old self is corruptible renewed in the spirit of your mind, the new self is created in the likeness of God: in righteousness and holiness of the truth
Eph 5:8 you were formerly darkness now you are Light in the Lord
Php 3:9 self-righteousness derived from the Law righteousness comes from God on the basis of faith, through faith in Christ
Col 1:13 living under the domain of darkness rescued, transferred into the kingdom of His beloved Son; see Acts 26:18
Col 1:21-22 formerly alienated and hostile in mind now reconciled to God; see Rom 5:10, 2Cor 5:18
Col 2:13 dead in transgressions alive together with Christ, forgiven of transgressions
washed, sanctified, justified 1Cor 6:11
redeemed through Christ's blood, forgiven trespasses Eph 1:7
having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise Eph 1:13
the eyes of your heart are enlightened, illuminated Eph 1:18
we have passed out of death into life 1John 3:14
Jesus Christ has made us kings and priests to His God and Father Rev 1:6; see Rom 12:1
for he who has died is freed from sin. Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him Rom 6:7-8,
